Overview
The Organic Acids Test (OAT) measures more than 70 organic acid metabolites from a single urine sample. The assessment includes biomarkers associated with a wide range of biochemical pathways, including amino acid metabolism, fatty acid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, and other naturally occurring metabolic processes. The panel also includes compounds associated with microbial metabolism and additional metabolites generated through normal biochemical activity.
The test provides laboratory-generated data relating to the metabolites measured within the assessment. Results are presented across multiple categories of biomarkers, offering a broad overview of the analytes included in the panel. The assessment encompasses a diverse range of metabolites derived from normal biochemical processes and metabolic pathways.
The Organic Acids Test may be used alongside other laboratory assessments to provide additional information on the biomarkers measured. Results are reported as laboratory-generated data and may be considered for informational, educational, wellness, and research purposes.
The Organic Acids Test (OAT) is intended for informational, educational, wellness and/or research purposes only. It is not intended for use in medical diagnosis, disease screening or clinical decision-making. Organic Acids Test (OAT) is not a replacement for clinical laboratory testing and does not provide medical diagnoses. This content is intended for general information within the EU market and should not be interpreted as a regulated in-vitro diagnostic claim.
